Our Club at Work ….
Our activities are directed toward philanthropic outreach and community service in Darien and other local communities.
The Darien Woman’s Club Charity Fund, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Join our Club members in donating Soap products for the are food pantries. They will be collected from November 29 to December 19. Soap products include: ● hand soap & body wash ● shampoo & conditioner ● laundry & dishwashing detergent. All of these products will be given to three local food pantries and the Family Services Shelter.
Please do not donate super-sized products.
Bins to collect these items will be placed at: the Indian Prairie Public Library and the Darien Park District, as well as, Mark Delay, Concord Elementary & Cass JHS

Tuesday, September 17, 2024 the Darien Woman’s Club and the Indian Prairie Library sponsored a blood drive to benefit our local blood bank
The Little Store at Burgess Square, Westmont Illinois
The Little Store is open year-round every other Friday from 10-11AM at Burgess Square HealthCare Centre
Located at 5801 S. Cass Avenue in Westmont. The Little Store is staffed by DWC volunteer, who assist seniors to shop for small personal care products such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, Kleenex, emery boards, perfume, and lip balm. Additionally, we also provide snack items like cookies, potato chips, crackers, and candy. Sugar-free items.

Give Blood and Save Lives Through a Blood Drive
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024 The Darien Woman’s Club and the Indian Prairie Public Library worked together to publicize and assist in our spring community Blood Drive ~ 34 donors shared the gift of life ~ thank you to all who worked to make this possible!

Happy Spring Senior Gift Bags
(8) Darien Woman’s Club members assembled (125) “Happy Spring” Gift Bags for residents at Burgess Square last month as a Community Engagement and Outreach project. Notepads, pens, emery boards, individual Kleenex packets, trial size body lotions, and spring window clings were packaged with a Happy Spring note and a colorful flower to share some spring cheer. Women’s Shelter Mother’s Day Bags.
This project was a huge success!
Due to the generous donations received from our membership, we were able to put together (26) Mother’s Day Bags with extra for the shelter to use as needed . They will be delivered to the Women’s Shelter the week before Mother’s Day.
Each bag will contain the following items: full-size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, bath pouf, hairbrush, bundle of low-cut socks, make-up bag containing lip balms, razors, perfume, emery board, Kleenex tissue packet, compact mirror, small hand cream, miscellaneous cosmetics and brushes, and toothbrush with toothpaste.
A Mother’s Day card with a handwritten note wishing the recipient a Happy Mother’s Day from the Darien Woman’s Club was included.
Thank you to all that donated over 850 soap products!
Soap products: hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwashing detergent, etc… were donated to the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Food Pantry, Our Lady of Peace Food Pantry, West Suburban Food Pantry, and the Women’s Shelter.
